Who we are

Chattanooga TN Septic is a small referral service, not a septic company. We write plain explanations of septic problems for homes around Chattanooga and the surrounding counties, and we answer a phone line for local septic contractors.

When you call or send the form

Your call or request is passed along to an independent septic contractor who works in your area. That contractor quotes the job, does the work, and bills you. We don't add a fee to your bill, and we don't pump, inspect, install or repair anything ourselves.

Things worth asking any contractor

• Their TDEC septic tank pumping contractor permit number, if they're pumping. It should be on the side of the truck.
• Their Hamilton County installer license, if they're installing or repairing a system in Hamilton County.
• Proof of insurance, what the price includes, and any warranty on the work.

Where our information comes from

The facts on this site come from TDEC's septic program and the Tennessee septic rule, Hamilton County's Groundwater Protection office, the U.S. EPA, the University of Tennessee, and the U.S. Geological Survey. Rules and fees change; if something here looks out of date, tell us through the form.

Calls to this line may be recorded so requests reach the right contractor.
